在托福写作中，有一个经常困惑小伙伴的一个问题。那就是：我的用词是不是越复杂分数越高？其实，对于一篇书面文章来说，用词的准确得体肯定是被优先考虑的，其次是多样性。
在官方指南中，评分标准也包含对用词要求的表述：
所以想要提高托福写作的一大方法，就是避免重复用词！如果不是为了修辞需要（比如排比和强调），我们应该尽量减少写作中的重复用词。作文中使用这些同义的替换词，可以让托福考官们眼前一亮！强烈建议先码后看哦！
替换词：celebrities （单数为 celebrity）
替换词：perspective / standpoint (means looking at an event or situation in a particular way)
替换词：intricate (if something is intricate, it often has many small parts and details)
替换词：tedious (if you describe something tedious, you mean it is boring and frustrating)

最后，还是要叮嘱小伙伴们，在托福写作中，我们首先追求的是准确得体。在背诵单词的时候不能孤立地从词语本身的含义着眼，而应从具体的语境，另外，要考虑用词得体，考虑场景、修饰对象、褒贬色彩、风格统一...不可因追求“高级表达”而使用不熟悉或者没有把握的词语。
